Operation "Weserübung" (7-12 April 1940)

Two photographs showing the damage inflicted by two hits in the action with the British battlecruiser Renown. In the left photograph a hole can be seen in the port optic of "A" turret. This optic was later removed althogether. In the photograph to the right the foretop including the unserviceable rader set visible just in front of the officer (centre of the portrait).
